| This is our first night's anhorage. It was off the shores of the Island of Dominica. This picture is of the Palm Trees on shore as we sailed into the harbor. No motor, it was one of those sail into the bay, with out a motor, then drop the sails, then turn into the wind, now drop the anchor just just as the boat stops silently gliding forward, and the wind just starts pushing the boat backwards so as to pull against the anchor chain! Perfect! First thing in the morning we dingyed up a small river, Indian River, it looked like a scene out of Disneyland - The Mangrove trees looked as if they wer reaching out for us. |
